The private twin-engine aircraft was traveling to Alaska for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise when it crashed, ending the lives of individuals whose ministry and music had inspired audiences for decades. their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler, and her husband, Nathan Kistler. Also aboard were family assistant Melanie Hodges, pilot Larry Haynie, and his wife, Melissa Haynie. Autumn Nelon Streetman, the youngest member of the family and group, was not on the flight and remains the immediate family’s sole survivor. In a heartfelt statement, Autumn expressed deep sorrow while thanking supporters for their prayers, compassion, and encouragement during an extraordinarily difficult time.
